how to gain power, switch hitters, quick problems

James raised his hand into the air and a blast of lightning came down and struck Thomas. Thomas and Gray were forced apart by the blast. Gray looked around and saw James. He hovered there and waved James up to help. Gray turned his attention back towards Thomas and flew towards him shield up and ready for impact.

James called up the wind to lift him higher. His eyes turned white as the clouds darken and thunder rumbles.

Thomas hits Gray and his fist hits the shield. Gray swerves to the side and swings his fist to try and hit Thomas. Thomas dodges.

“We have company,” said Gray.

Thunder rumbles more as lighting plays within the clouds that were forming.

“Fight it,” Thomas shouted. “You have to fight it.” Thomas spun around as he lifted his hands into the air. He spun faster as he turned into a blur.

The dark clouds were gathering from all around by James’s call. It was hard to see the clouds taking over because of the dark night. It was mainly noticed because of the sound of thunder and the moonless sky. It was easy to see Thomas for his silver body reflected what little light that was coming from Jeff’s compound. Gray glows a healthy orange as he hovered and moved about. James was the one that was difficult to see because of his dark clothes. His pink tipped Mohawk was visible—well the pink tips.

James hovered next to Gray who was loud as he hovered. His feet not visible because of the loud rocket like explosion that was occurring keeping him in flight.

James said, “Like my hair?”

Gray turned and looked and said, “Suits you.”

James smiled. “Of course it does cause I’m hot stuff.”

Gray turned to look at Thomas and said, “When do you think he’ll stop spinning any time soon?”

James shook his head. “I don’t see him stopping soon so I think I’ll have to stop him myself if you’re just going to sit here and stare at him and his shiny body.” James looked at the blurred Thomas and then said, “Well I guess it is rather attractive in this state but still I’ll knock him down. We have to kill him as instructed.”

Gray smiled.

Thomas spun faster and faster blurring so much he looked like a silver slice in the night sky. His body gave off a bright light. He all the sudden stopped with his hands extended and a flash of light blinded James and Gray along with a sonic boom of energy that rushed from Thomas to them. It knocked them out of the sky and they fell towards the ground. Thomas pulled his arms in and sped towards their falling bodies. He caught them both and lowered to the ground. He placed them down against the grass on their backs. He looked around and realized no one was outside. It was oddly quiet. The clouds started to part because James was unconscious.

Thomas does not get tired because he does not need to sleep but he let out a deep breath in exasperation. He does not realize what is going on or where everyone was. He did not know if what he had done to both James and Gray fixed anything and that they would be back to normal or not. He decided he would wait until they both wake up. Leaving them alone was not a good idea because someone might come along and snatch them. Body snatchers are just scary things and Thomas did not want Gray to be snatched. Maybe James but not Gray…he smiled at his rather small joke.

Forty-Five’s shield was blocked by Dan’s Bowie knives. His strength allowed him to hold them against the impact of the shield. It bounced off his knives and hit Rick in the back of the head and went back towards Forty-Five. Before the shield came back home Dan threw one of his Bowie knives at Forty-Five and he dodged. The knife wedged into the wall.

“Missed,” said Forty-Five as he stood back up catching his shield.

Dan punched him directly in the face forcing the back of his head to hit the wall and his back hitting the handle of the knife. “Bull’s-eye,” said Dan.

Forty-Five groaned. His shield lay on the ground in front of Bat and Sara who were squirming trying to get free.

Rick rubbed the back of his head in a bit of shock. Twelve took this chance to hit him hard in the nuts. Rick made weird noises as he fell to his knees gripping his balls in both his hands.

“I.Made.You.Hurt,” said Twelve as he stepped over Rick’s body.

Forty-Five fell forward into Dan’s grasp. He was still awake. Dan backhanded Forty-Five as hard as possible because he realized that Forty-Five had a high threshold for pain. He hit him across the face. Forty-Five then slumped in Dan’s grasp. Dan dropped him on the floor.

“Wasn’t there another two,” Dan asked looking around.

Twelve said, as he moved over to Bat and Sara, “Yes.They.Escaped.While.We.Were.

Fighting.”

Dan nodded and said, “Smart move.” He pulled his knife out of the wall and placed it back in his side pocket.

Twelve looked down at Bat and Sara and said, “It.Is.Going.To.Hurt.A.Lot.” He placed his hands on the top of both their heads and they both started to squirm and scream.

“You two need help,” asked Gray 1.

“Yeah we’re here to help but it’s loud right now and we would love it if you keep it below loud more like not loud,” said Gray 2.

All three Grays stood in the doorway that was created by Daniel. They looked just like the original.

“Where is Gray,” Dan asked.

“Fighting Thomas,” said Gray 3. “That’s not going to last.”

“Twelve is trying to fix Bat and Sara,” said Dan. “They are under the control of Andy because of devices in their heads.”

“Device?” Gray 1 asked. “What kind of device?”

“Mind control,” said Dan. “Something about switching sides at a push of a button. In this case it was literally.” Dan folded his arms and watched Twelve.

The Grays looked at one another shot their thumbs up in the air. “We’ll deal with Andy,” Gray 2 said. “We know enough from both parties to deal with him.” He tapped the side of his head.

“Alright,” said Dan. “I’m staying here to make sure no one makes a move on Twelve. Hopefully he knows what he’s doing.”

“Have any rope,” Gray 3 asked as he looked over at the Brain Trust.

“Don’t,” said Dan. “Their powers deal with the mind and if they stay where they are I can tell if they are awake or not because they’ll start moving. Tied up will make it difficult. I’ve got this, guys. Go on.”

They walked down the hall side by side.

“Andy is going to be in for a real surprise,” said Gray 1.

“Yeah,” said Gray 2. “We look like Gray, have some of his thoughts but are as, if not more, irrational like JJ.”

“Oh what a combination considering how not rational Gray can be,” said Gray 3.

“We are a mess,” said Gray 1. “Hopefully we’ll never be created again.”

“Yeah,” said Gray 3. “For the sake of humanity.”

“And ourselves,” said Gray 2 laughing.

Josiah and Cudmore sleep soundly in their bed. Cudmore hoped he had left no doubt in Josiah’s mind who the better man was between him and Shawn. A phone vibrates on the nightstand. Josiah’s hand picked up the phone and looked at it.

It was a text from Shawn that said, “I’m outside.”

Josiah smiled and carefully slipped out from underneath Cudmore’s hold and walked to the front door. He opened it and saw Shawn standing there. There was a mild pause before they embraced in a kiss.

Cudmore looked at the phone that Josiah left and saw the text. He then decided to send a text of his own to anyone and everyone that was on the phone list. He fought the ideal of ripping the heads off of both Shawn and Josiah and turned on his side to go back to sleep. The cell phone started to vibrate with responses and Cudmore smiled even though his jaw was in a tight growl.

Daniel and Anarchist were cautiously walking down the hallway. They were making sure they were going unnoticed. Anarchist would knock out the security cameras with his good shot.

“Cathy is going to be here you know,” said Anarchist. “She’s going to try to be getting the scepter as well.”

Daniel nodded. “It was held in the throne room until the massive amount of JJs infiltrated it and it was then removed and placed somewhere else.” Daniel looked around at the walls and said, “This place needs signs to tell me where the hell I’m going. All the walls look the same.”

“The scepter allows the person who holds it to be in power,” Anarchist asked.

“Yes,” said Daniel a little annoyed. “We’ve been over this.”

“Yes but you didn’t answer me on how we are going to rule equally,” Anarchist said.

“You’re not,” said Kurt as his hand was out stretched blocking Daniel’s view. He pulled his hand back revealing Lindsey and Bri who stood next to him.

“Well this was unexpected,” said Daniel as he smiled. “Kurt is someone who seems to have lost his way.”

Kurt tilted his head in confusion and said, “What do you mean lost my way? I’m here to stop anyone from taking Jeff’s rightful position as ruler of SCN. What are you here doing?”

“Taking what is rightfully mine,” said Daniel with a smile. He then quickly said, “What is rightfully ours. We are both here taking what is rightfully ours.”

Anarchist stood straight up and nodded not even realizing the amount of “I’s” Daniel continues to say.

“You won’t get too far,” said Kurt as he placed his hands on his waist.

Lindsey said, “He’s got that right.” Her fist started to glow bright pink.

Bri’s hair flowed in all directions as she shook her head in agreement.

Daniel moved up closer to the group with his very calm demeanor and smile. He calmly said, “What makes you different than I?” He looked at Kurt as he asked that. When he got close enough slapped Lindsey across the face and hit Bri in the gut. Bri hit the ground on her butt and started having trouble breathing. Lindsey hit her head against a wall and ended up on the ground looking up at Kurt and Daniel.

“Don’t move,” said Daniel as he stood face to face with Kurt. “Anarchist will shoot them both before your rubber fingers twitch.”

Anarchist cocks two guns and gives off a laugh.

“Again what makes you different?”

Kurt looked Daniel in the face and said, “I’m not like you.”

“Oh,” said Daniel with a laugh. “He’s not like us,” he repeated towards Anarchist.

Anarchist laughed.

“You’re telling me you joined this Religious Cult team because you believe in Religion,” Daniel asked.

“I am an atheist I don’t care about religion but the team is a different story,” said Kurt.

“Really,” said Daniel. “You don’t believe in their beliefs. You’ve even said demeaning things about those that do believe and you say being on their team is a different story? That and you’ve had power hungry issues. I know about you. I do my homework before I go out and face any idiot, including yourself.”

“But you didn’t know you were going to see me,” said Kurt.

“You think I didn’t see you walking down the hall,” said Daniel. “I saw you. I ignored you. I was ready for you to pop up and be all self-righteous. I was ready for it. You, however, were not. You should have stuck with JJ’s crew you might have had a chance. But not now. You’re in my way and I think if the Cult is smart,” he looked at Lindsey who was groggily staring back, “they’d drop you like a hot potato because you’re leading them to ruin like you do to anyone who even comes close to you. You’re trouble. If you change your mind you can join us in our rulership over SCN. I assure you it’ll come to pass. Unless you will continue with your fakeness and stick with them.” Daniel moved passed Kurt along with Anarchist. “But don’t think I’ll react kindly to you when the power of the scepter is in my hand.” He paused and the said quickly, “Our hand.”

“Yeah,” said Anarchist as he bumped Kurt in the shoulder.

Kurt fell to his knees next to Lindsey and asked, “Are you alright?”

She spit in his face. “Don’t try and fool me. I read minds.”

“Don’t do this,” said Aron as his hands held onto the metallic arm that was squeezing his throat. “You know what this will do to you if you exert yourself you’ll become more infected.”

“I don’t care,” said Nate. “You and Kurt have lied to us.”

Jordan’s tongue flickered out as he said, “We don’t appreciate being lied to.”

“That tongue thing is hot,” said Brianna.

Steph was next to Nate and said, “What did he lie to you about? I don’t think you should do something rash.” She almost touched Nate’s shoulder but pulled back because he was more than mad he was angry. She was afraid he might react violently should she do that.

Two more arms shot up and pinned Aron’s arms to the wall. “He lied. He said he was with us but he’s not. Kurt’s not either. We’ve been deceived.”

“How do you know,” Kayla asked a little scared of the amount of anger that was coming from Nate.

Nate’s fourth arm picked up a cell phone that was on the table next to the computer Aron was working on and handed it to Kayla. “Look at the text. It’s from a Josiah who happens to be someone who can read the future. He’s been in contact with Cathy and Daniel. Now that could just be a coincidence but after I looked at the text, because he asked me to check the phone to make sure it wasn’t Kurt, I looked at the phone list and Daniel is on it. We were going to be double crossed. Everyone knew that Daniel wanted to take over Jeff’s position, everyone but Jeff. Kurt wanting to come and help was nothing more than a ploy to get inside and wait for Daniel and then bail on us. That is until we got infected.”

His arm chocked Aron more.

“Come on,” said Aron, “we are opportunist what exact would you want us to do? Side with the losing side and lose on purpose out of morals and good judgment?”

“That sounds like something that should have been done,” said Brianna looking up at Aron whose legs were moving about trying to find some sort of footing.

“Well it wasn’t,” said Aron. “You can’t stop what Daniel is going to do. It’s something that has already been predicted by Josiah himself.”

“I think I’ll have something different to say about that,” said Cathy. She snapped her fingers and Adin tossed in Haxot into the room. She skipped across the ground and landed in front of Nate.

“She’s infected,” said Cathy with a grin.

Nate dropped Aron on the ground as his arms went for Cathy. Cathy waved her hands and Nate’s arms did not get her they came up short. They moved around trying to find a way.

“Don’t bother,” said Cathy. “I’m going to leave you in here with her and those who are not infected will be infected and those who are will end up with a strong strand of the Bobo Virus. You have to find a cure, what better way than to work under stress.”

The door shut as she waved goodbye. She shouted through the door, “Don’t bother trying to escape. Magic is a funny thing it will make every attempt fail. It even might make you die. Try and see.”

“Great,” said Cathy as she looked at Adin, “Daniel is here and that stupid Josiah’s prediction. I’m thinking my ability could alter his prediction. It is possible right?”

“If you say so,” said Adin.

“We have to find that scepter,” said Cathy.

Chris zoomed past Dan as he was battling Forty-Five and Twelve who was battling Rick. He could have stopped and try to beat them up but he was sure he would fail. He thought an easier target would be more his style. He had to find that easier target. He was fast enough.

“I’m tired,” said Josh as he was moved by being held up by Tina. “You’re awesome.” He looked at her as if here drunk.

“Thanks,” said Tina.

Meg looked around and said, “We’ll we’re outside.”

“Did the trees give that away,” Dustin asked.

“They sort of did,” said Meg.

“Why are we running,” Kel asked as he kept his distances from Kenny. They spent way too much time being too close. Time a part was something that was needed. They had both agreed on that.

“I hope we find Thomas,” said Fonz as he pointed at his foot. “It still hurts you know.”

“We were asked to leave,” said Dustin. “I think it is something I actually decided was a good idea. There are so many people in Jeff’s place who knows who is where and what they are up to. They are not after us any more. If we leave they won’t care. Power has taken over their minds. We are an after thought.”

“What’s that smell,” said Dom as he made a face looking around. “Alan did you fart?”

Alan shook his head as he pinched his nose.

“Sorry,” said Jayden as he stepped out from behind a tree. “It was I.”

“If it isn’t the blue demon looking whore,” said Dustin. “Why?”

“Under the sea was a bit boring,” said Jayden. “I’ve brought friends.” Kimmy and Kori stepped out.

“Kori,” said Dustn, “hi.” He walked over to Kori and put his arm around him and said, “How do you spell your name?”

Kori looked at him confused and thought, “Why do you care?”

“I think someone is spelling it wrong,” said Dustin.

“K-O-R-E-Y,” telepathically said Kori.

“Ah,” said Dustin. “Did you see that? Spell it right!”

“Who are you talking about,” Kori thought.

Dustin sighed, “NOW!”

Sorry.

“You better be,” said Dustin. “Don’t worry Korey it’s all better now.”

Korey looked at Dustin as if he had lost his mind.

“It’s been gone,” he said as he walked back to the group.

“Why are you here,” Dustin asked Jayden.

“We came to help,” said Jayden.

“We don’t need help,” said Meg. “We are leaving. We have already done the hero thing.”

“JJ,” Jayden asked.

“Still inside,” said Dustin.

Jayden turned to Korey and Kimmy.

Kimmy said, “I’ll stay here you and Korey go.”

Jayden grabed hold of Korey and teleported.

“God that stinks,” said Kimmy.

“Indeed,” said Kenny waving his hand in front of his nose.

“Odd,” said Kel. “It’s thundering a lot.”

“James,” said Dustin.

“Where,” said Kenny.

Josh pointed across the sky, “Over there.”

The door lowered and out stepped two figures. They felt a bit rested. Their feet hit the ground and they looked around. The door rose up and shut.

“We have to find our Cult,” said Abby.

Usul nodded. He held his stomach. It felt like a bit of gas. No need to let Abby smell that. He said, “I’ll follow you.”

Abby went first as she walked through the hole in the wall. She looked around. Usul could not get rid of the stomach pain so it was not gas. He quickly followed Abby.

“Don’t speak,” said Usul as they both walked past Dan and Twelve. “They can’t see us. There’s no need to fight.”
